Overview
Chauragarh is one of the most iconic treks in Central India, located in the Satpura Range near Pachmarhi. The trail is famous for its steep climb and the thousands of tridents (Trishuls) offered at the summit temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.
The trek involves ascending more than 1,300 steps through dense forests and rocky terrain before reaching the summit ridge. While the distance is relatively short, the continuous climb can be physically demanding, especially during warmer months.
The summit offers panoramic views of the Satpura landscape, making it one of the most rewarding day hikes in Madhya Pradesh
